I made How to Disappear Completely at a time where I felt too seen, too watched, too vulnerable ā the only way I knew to protect myself was to redact myself from view. It was an attempt to āopt outā of the The Empireās violent vernacular, removing myself from the burden of even having to work in resistance to it. A temporary one, but an attempt nonetheless.
