Fanny Fan Lai

Fanny Fan Lai (traditional Chinese: ่้บ) is a Hong Kong actress. She entered the movie business in 1957 after winning a beauty pageant. She initially entered Shaw Brothers' Cantonese film division as Wan Li-Hong (traditional Chinese: ่ฌ้็ด ; simplified Chinese:ไธ้็บข), and starred in the 1959 film Behind the Hidden Scene (็ฆๅฐๆฅๅ ). However, her career took off after she entered Shaw Brother's Mandarin division with a new stage name, Fanny Fan. She played naughty roles earning a nickname "Oriental Brigitte Bardot".
